San Antonio, Part 2

So, this morning I thought I could figure out which stop to get off of the first bus in order to catch the correct transfer. I won't do that again. I missed it and ended up in some weird part of town next to a large Salvation Army store/warehouse. I was approached by two mini-missionaries (two Hispanic children) who wondered if I had a Bible. I assured them that I did. 1 minute later, a man in a long coat and hat with a handlebar mustache asked me where I needed to go. He tried to "push" me toward another stop where a trolly would take me right downtown. I checked the sign, but the service didn't start for another hour and a half...so I went back to the stop on the train tracks. The 51 finally came and took me very near. I walked the rest of the way. The sessions were pretty good, the Spanish Embassy luncheon was great, and the sightseeing/souvenir shopping was fun. I came back fairly early this evening...since I had a ride from a friend that I met at the conference. It's nice to get off of my feet and rest for more conference tomorrow and my flights. I made my slide show just a LITTLE bigger today...after some complaints. If you would like to, you can also go to my web album site:

Hi, Heath! Thanks for sending your blog to me, I never knew it existed. It's fun for me to read. I'm sorry that your hotel is so far out in the boonies, but if it were closer you wouldn't have the entertaining encounters to share with us. Hope you had a safe trip home! Love you. ~Steph
